Temple Cat

It has been already nine months since our cat came to our temple as a kitten. Since then, he grew into an adult cat and his main daily job is to protect his territory and discover new places for long hours of sleep, rotating around these precious locations as the sun goes on its eternal trajectory...

He receives special care from our Bul Hwa HJN, who feeds him three times every day, and takes care of his health.

Anytime somebody passes by, the cat makes meows and waits whether we, arduous students of Zen, do the right thing or not: come closer and caress him. He came freely and would be able to leave freely, no strings attached...

But he keeps sticking around, meowing, eating, being happy, and listening to chanting in a sphinx position, unmoving.
